feel great pleasure to present this book on chemistry which is included in the curriculum of West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (as Applied Chemistry) for Ist vear Ist semester polytechnic students. An attempt has been made to present a concise and simple book covering all the chapters included in the syllabus

Each chapter consists of text, mathematical analysis, diagrams and solved questions in question-answer form. Also, each chapter consists of exercise relevant to the topics which will be helpful for our beloved students to test their knowledge.
